BILLINGS - Ford Motor Company makes a big donation to help women protect themselves against cancer.

St. Vincent Healthcare's Mobile Mammography Coach travels throughout eastern and central Montana to provide free mammograms for women in need. Ford gave St. V's $25,000 to support the coach on Friday. The donation will help women who do not have insurance or who are underinsured.

"A lot of women are faced with a decision of putting food on the table or caring for other elements of their family, and so they forego a mammogram. So this is a big deal for us in terms of being able to provide them resources for a mammogram," said David Irion, the president of the St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation.

St. V's provides 13,000 mammograms every year. A quarter of those are done on the mobile coach.
